During the recording of their third album, ‘Chemistry’, Cheryl Cole’s foot became trapped in the floor of the recording studio, and she had to lay down the remainder of the tracks, including most of ‘Whole Lotta History’, without leaving the five square feet of carpet that she could comfortably reach.  After she had been stoically dealing with the situation for eleven days, with the GA management were concerned that they would have to take drastic measures, and structural engineers were called in, with medics on stand-by.  But once the floor had been drilled up everyone was relieved to find that in fact her ankle had simply been entangled in a vine, of the sort commonly found in London’s foundations.  In fact she would likely have been able to ease herself free within a couple of days, as she had by that time almost entirely the absorbed the foliage to form a symbiotic organism.  Throws a new light on her rivalry with Nadine, eh?
